Wanted to share my journey……so far, for a few different reasons. Mainly as an outlet for myself to document my personal: Timelines – Emotions – Hope – Realization- (TEHR as I like to call it ; )

My Journey – Summer of 2024

Phone call from my doctor: May 31, 2024. “Hi Kim, I have your biopsy results. Would you mind confirming your name and date of birth please?…….

Step #1: Don’t fight it, you won’t win……. Reply with your name and date of birth, maybe a smile if you can spare it. Yes, you may indeed have cancer, however they, have a job and are simply following protocol and, well, just doing their jobs.

………..”I’m so sorry, but you do have breast cancer…….(very long pause)! …….I’m so sorry”

I. Have. Breast Cancer??!!!

Everything has changed……in a 2 min phone call, everything has changed.

Now, while my journey started, honestly, not so long ago! I’ve also experienced SO much! I’ve learned a lot! Cried a lot. Waited a. lot…. Oh…….. the…. waiting………

I’ve been poked and podded more than I imagined, all while knowing there is so much more to come! 

Some good, some not so good. 

Some great, I’m sure of it!
